More (or less)…Good eats
I have made some additions and deletions to my Good Eats list:
Best Apple-pie: Bag of Beans (Tagaytay)
Best Chocolate Eclairs: Dulcinea
Best Chocolate Crinkles: Hungrypac (Glorietta foodcourt)
Best Donuts: Krispy Kreme
Best Halo-halo: Icebergs
Best Japanese buffet: Saisaki
Best Risotto (that I’ve tasted so far): Capisce (Metrowalk)
Best crispy sisig: Gerry’s Grill This would be another post altogether as to why I have decided to remove this from my Good Eats list. Watch out for it.

[...] In my Good Eats post, I had listed that for me the Best Crispy Sisig could be eaten at Gerry’s Grill. I had struck it out from the list later on in the part 2 of that post. The reason being, I was disappointed a few weeks ago with the sisig that I had eaten at Gerry’s Grill @ Blue Wave. The sisig they served was first of all - not sizzling - and second it wasn’t crispy at all. The chicharon bits sprinkled on top were more “makunat” (tough) than crispy. The pork half-cooked by the hot plate so it turned out really “malansa” (term used for fish smell). The experience was so bad for me that I swore to take it off my Good Eats list and so I did. [...]
capisce is the best in everything..!
dea - really? I havent had a chance to go back there. Care to share specifics? Thanks for visiting!
i’ve never tried hungrypac’s crinkles, maybe next time since you say its good!
best donuts, gotta be Krispy Kreme!!
best buko pie, i love The Original and the buko tarts in Amira’s or Rowena’s in tagaytay!! Mmmm…
i’m in search though for the best muffins in town.. i miss famous amos!
u8mypinkcookies - I would have to agree about Krispy Kreme. Nothing will beat it for me. For muffins, I wouldnt say the best as I have eaten very few but Starbucks banana chocolate muffin is soo good.
next to krispy kreme would be donuts and muffins from Country Style
