Starbucks Strawberry Shortcake
My sweet tooth was screaming bloody murder the other day from an all-day salty foodfest so I strolled to the nearest starbucks to get myself some pastry and coffee of course.
I was inspecting the assortment of pastries and desserts over the glass cover when a pink sliver caught my eye. I got caught staring and of course was treated to a dialogue of how much pleasure I would get from eating their “apparently” sugar free cake.
Who could resist? I sure as hell didn’t.
I wasn’t disappointed. Unlike other sugar-free cakes I have tried, this one did not lack for taste. It is perfect for those who want to “pretend” they’re still staying on their diet and also those who expect to satisfy their taste buds. I love it and I left about a fourth of the slice home so my hubby can share in my satisfaction. It turns out, the whole family loved it!
