If you happen to be in the stock exchange building, just walk along Ayala towards Buendia/Fire station, then cross using the underpass of Paseo de Roxas then go straight towards the waiting sheds. I usually see them every morning but I am now coming from Makati Ave so I haven’t been in that area for quite a while. I am not sure about the availability too because as far as I know the supply for these are not constant.

I dont mean anything bad about these overruns. It just means that the factory producing these do not want the hassle of handling complaints for “semi-expensive” products because they failed some quality test. In the long run it was cheaper to sell these in bulk to employees (or those with connections to employees) who repackages them and sells them cheaper since they dont need to deal with marketing costs. The only deal is that they cannot tag it as the original product but that doesn’t stop them from saying the name of the original one.

ps, i usually buy the chocolate chip ones because I find the mallows too sweet. i think my sweet tooth died when i graduated from college.

those are factory overruns, meaning they are the same as the boxed version but for some reason they didn’t pass quality control. normally the reason is trivial like for mallows the coating wasn’t perfect, and for chocolate chips cookies either they do not contain enough choco chips or they came out as chipped.

packaging (and marketing and shipment) adds a lot on the market price. my wife used to work for URC and they have a co-op store wherein new products gets “tested” there. these are usually in unlabeled foils. i remember my wife bringing home the then new flavor of “Nova” wherein she only paid around 4 or 6 pesos per pack. the final marketed product went in the market for more than thrice that value.
