SanFo Treats caramel apples
Even if I am named Apples, I am not a fan of the fruit. I never was and I don’t think I ever will be. If I were faced with choosing among a variety of fruits, I would either have banana, strawberry or mango. I think caramel apples were created to change my point of view on apples.
It was my husband who made it possible for me to taste SanFo Treats caramel apples. Although I have passed many of their stalls, I was never enticed to buy myself any of their products.
I must say though that I think our country’s weather is too hot for these caramel apples to last. By the time, my hubby came home with it, the chocolate covering the apple was already melted making it impossible for me to take a good picture.
As for taste, I did like the way the caramel and chocolate complemented the crispy apple. The caramel chocolate covering was thick and stuck to the fruit like glue. Eating the whole thing was messy but I feel it was worth the experience.
Recently, I was given the Bluebell for Valentines. It was a granny smith apple covered in caramel with blue sprinkles and white chocolate. It was not much different than the Chocolate Sprinkle except it was blue. But I am starting to get a hang of the taste and I am actually looking forward to trying their Triple Dipped Caramel Apple.

I tried these apples also, but they weren’t crisp and fresh any more inside
I LOVE caramel apples, and having them in the Philippines was a special treat…but I just wish they kept the apples crisp!
May bad experience ako sa SanFo Treats.
Ysa - I think it depends where (what branch) you buy them and what time you buy them. The last caramel apple I tried was crispy enough that I enjoyed it.
benj - Aww… wonder what that is? Care to share?
my boyfriend and i had a bad experience with sanfo treats in glorietta. we used to be patrons of sanfo treats because their caramel-coated apple really tasted yummy. but the time we decided to buy apples for my mom and sisters (can’t remember when) saka pa kami nadisappoint sa kanila. nakita kasi namin kung pano inislice nung babae sa sanfo treats yung apple namin. parang binaboy nya yung apple namin, tumalsik pa nga sa table na pinaghihiwaan nya yung isang portion nung apple. natanggal pa yung coating sa apple dahil sa bara-bara nyang paghihiwa at ibinalik nya yun with her bare hand. nagkatinginan kami ng bf ko like “what the heck is she doing with our apples?” at nagtataka kami kung bakit sya nagmamadali sa paghihiwa gayung kami lang ang customer nya that time. my bf told the girl that we are not going to take the apples and we want new apples na maayos at malinis ang pagkakahiwa. nainis yung babae kasi nahiwa na daw nya yung apple kaya gusto nya bayaran namin yun. inis na inis din kami ng bf ko kasi binaboy nya yung apple tapos gusto nyang pabayaran sa amin at ang bastos makipag-usap nung babae. i can’t believe it. wala kaming mapagreklamuhan kasi wala namang manager sa pwesto nila, puro tindera lang talaga. we decided na iwanan na lang ang babaeng yun. since then we never did come back to sanfo treats glorietta.
Maris - I can believe that as something similar happened to one of the apples I bought from them. This is the price when you let someone else take care of your shop. Its too bad but it can happen to anyone. I just wish the owner/s realize the incompetence of the people they hire.
i wonder how it tastes. it’s no ordinary apple.. isnt it?
bubbahls - you should try some just for the experience.
